Introduction
Alien Technology provides UHF Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) products and services to customers in retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, defense, transportation and logistics, pharmaceuticals and other industries. Alien was founded in l994 and employees about 235 people worldwide. The company's facilities include: its corporate headquarters in Morgan Hill, CA; an RFID tag manufacturing facility in Fargo, ND; the Alien RFID Solutions Center, in the Dayton, Ohio area, and sales offices in the US, Europe and Asia. Alien is a member of EPCGlobal.

RFID Tags
Alien was the first manufacturer of Class 1 EPC tags. Available in a range of form factors and delivered on rolls for a variety of label formats, Alien tags are characterized by their high level performance as well as their industry-leading low cost.

RFID Readers
In the reader arena, Alien offers a global-ready range of software-upgradeable single and multi-protocol readers including RFID readers designed from the start for EPC Class 1 Gen 2 compatibility.

Battery Assisted Passive (BAP) Tags and Readers
Developed to fill the gap between shorter range passive systems and high-cost active RFID systems, Alien BAP tags and readers support cold chain management, asset management and other demanding applications requiring reliable long range RFID functionality. From food providers and long distance carriers to the U.S. Department of Defense, customers use Alien's BAP technology to reduce costs and enhance consumer safety and satisfaction.
